If the project manager requests further clarification, questions will be sent prior to writing the in-depth proposal.
All sample work, references, and further details asked of potential client's will be given prior to starting. Any prior statistics on award ratios and/or sales within the IT industry is a plus. Subsequently, we have a quota that needs to be reached per day which will be mentioned during the interviews.

We are looking for someone who is very devoted to this position and is confident in driving new client's to our development firm. DESCRIPTION
This position is located within the Marketing organization at Vigilent, where you will play a key role working with our sales team as we significantly expand our business. You will assist potential customers in exploring how Vigilent intelligent energy management systems can help solve their technical and business needs. You will assess technology fit, design solutions, manage testing and pilot implementations and participate in closing strategic relationships. You will report to the Director of Technical Marketing, while having day-to-day accountability as part of the sales team reporting to a strategic sales manager for key accounts.
Your role will be a combination of technical consulting and sales support. As new clients evaluate our solutions, you will perform energy audits, site surveys, equipment audits, M&amp;V reviews and energy savings analyses. You will specify and configure a Vigilent solution that meets customers' unique requirements, and then work as a member of the sales team to explain the solution to the customer and assist the sales manager in closing the sale.
You will provide a primary point of contact on an ongoing basis to periodically assess the successful performance of Vigilent solutions and assist clients by identifying how they can achieve more value from products and services we offer. In addition, your responsibilities will include collecting customer feedback to ensure that our product development process remains customer-driven.
You will interface with Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Business Operations, Applications Engineering, Quality Assurance, Sales and first and foremost, customers. You will share responsibility with the sales team for growing a base of delighted customers.
The position will report to a manager located in El Cerrito, California, but you may be based anywhere in the continental U.S. -- large metropolitan areas, or the Midwest, are preferred, as you will travel to customer locations throughout the country. Significant travel is required (expected 50%) for customer meetings and trade shows.   
RESPONSIBILITIES
?	Provide technical consultative assistance during the sales process to accurately assess potential customers' needs and determine the appropriate solution from Vigilent products and services.
?	Develop and deliver customized presentations and proposals on-site, in conjunction with the sales manager, to assist potential customers in their evaluation of Vigilent solutions and to convey the unique value proposition that we deliver.
?	Provide pre-sales support and technical presentations -- on-site, by phone, and through web conferences -- regarding product strategy and roadmaps, features, industry technology and competitive positioning. Deliver our key value propositions to technical and managerial personnel at customers.
?	Work with technical groups inside of Vigilent to resolve application fit issues and improve Vigilent products, tools and other deliverables.

?	As a member of the sales team, actively participate in the RFI, RFP and RFQ processes by defining the technical portions of the strategy and response.

Education
